…IN OWN WORDS
Katharina showed me some expressionist floral motif images that she might like regarding the making of the Save The Date card. This gave me the idea of depicting blue forget-me-not flowers. This underscores the essential purpose of the card, which is remembrance. For color and shape contrast, I added orange tulips.
The illustration should appear both serious and childlike, since the daughter’s christening is taking place alongside the wedding. The lettering was hand-drawn and created in a dark brown/bronze, which supports the natural effect more than gold.
Printing and hot foil embossing, as well as the selection of the paper with the wood structure, were carried out by the Leindecker printers. The print finishing finalized the process and also enhanced the design.
