The Gallup meta-analysis of employees clearly shows: Those who have fun, feel comfortable, and can identify well with a company achieve more, are absent less often, and work more consistently and better. These are stable success factors.

Corporate Design FAQs

Corporate Design (CD) is part of your Corporate Identity (CI). However, CI also encompasses language, values, tone, and more. All of these aspects are made visible through the Corporate Design and visually represented in a meaningful, consistent way, that represents the identity of your brand.

If your company were a person, the CI would be your personality. Corporate Design is mainly your appearance.

In Germany, corporate design costs range between €3,000 and €25,000. Please understand, that more precise calculations are mostly depending on the diverse scope of a project, as well as which components are needed. This can be clarified in an initial consultaton.

Clearly: logo, font, color. Many of these decisions are often made intuitively. However, to define these components meaningfully, it is important to first gain a thorough understanding of the identity, objectives, unique selling points, and other components of the corporate identity. A designer’s work is characterized by the conscious definition of these factors. The strategy and concept are then defined from these. Hans From Space’s design systems are generally modular and flexible.

The processes in design and branding agencies are significantly more complex than those of a freelancer, but they offer greater human resources. Decisions, meetings, and task allocation are separated into different departments and require time. As a freelancer, I place a personal focus on your project and work with you on an equal footing.

Brand building and company development are very closely related. As a designer, I repeatedly encounter similar patterns, which is why startups regularly disappoint themselves.

1. Lack of concept: An underestimated factor, but an absolute foundation for a targeted design strategy. Developing a coherent concept that translates content values into media communication requires the most experience and considerable effort. Ideally, this happens on all levels of your external presentation, i.e., essentially in text, images, and sound. Furthermore, it’s important to choose the right channels, strategies, and approaches, address the right target audience, and so on…

2. Trend-hopping/changing direction: Design is closely linked to your identity and positioning. Stick to your initial strategy. Think it through clearly – however, if your corporate direction changes, this can have a significant impact on your values and the associated appearance.

3. Lack of consistency in appearance: Getting to know a company is like getting to know a person. If the person always appears as you know them, trust and reliability are built. If someone constantly changes their appearance, it comes across as inauthentic, and you don’t know what to expect.

4. Unprofessional appearance: External factors shape the first impression and convey trust, security, and values. Attention to detail can make a decisive difference when choosing a service provider. The effort of a consistent corporate design is worthwhile, but is often neglected by companies.

5. Lack of perspective: Initial enthusiasm often develops into a lack of direction. This is due to a lack of experience or false expectations, which lead to disappointment. Developing the right perspective helps to scale projects appropriately and to dimension the initial steps appropriately. This ensures that your project remains plannable, calculable, implementable, and promises long-term success.
